Custom Laser Engraved valve covers are a great way to customize your engine.
 
Here's how it works: 
You ship us your valve covers. We use a laser engraver to burn off the powder coating on your valve covers.  The laser burns off the powder coating to show the aluminum underneath the powder coating. This process does not entch into the metal like the old style routering of the valve cover.  
NOTE: If your valve cover had a design on them of some sort.  You had them blasted and then powder coated.  SOMETIMES, there can be a faint shadow of the design on the laser engraved area underneath.  It's very faint and you have to look really hard but I like to educate my clients about anything that they might want to know before proceeding.  (keep in mind I am super picky, you might not even notice it). If your valve cover is anodized the engraving/imprint will be an ash gray color. It is very nice but it doesn't burn off the same way that powder coating does to show the silver underneath. 
 
SECOND NOTE: We did a set of valve covers that were made of aluminum and magnesium. 
We can laser them but a warning that you might get an undesirable result.  The lasering was not even and had spots that did not turn as silver even with multiple passes.  The customer LOVED them.  
 
Artwork notes: We know you already know what you would like engraved on them.  You can email us at: CustomerService@RedlineEngraving.com with the design or the design that you want. We have helped all of our valve cover clients so far create the design that they want engraved on the valve cover.  Depending on level of difficulty there could be an additional charge of $30-$60.  Some projects don't have an art charge it just depends on the amount of graphic design time for your project. 
 
SHIPPING NOTE: Valve covers do not qualify for the $12 shipping service. You will be charged an additional fee after we complet your valve covers for the additional shipping. We never mark up the shipping we only charge the different between $12 that you have already paid and what the actual cost is.  Please let us know if you would like additional insurance for the return shipment. 
 
A client who is a custom engine builder has us laser engrave his powder coated valve covers for him.  Send us your logo and the valve covers and we will laser engrave them and ship them back.  We have a fast turn around time because we know your customers wanted their motor done yesterday!!
